Dr. Mirela Cvijanovic is an Internal Medicine Specialist and primary care provider at Southern Oregon Wellness Clinic. A graduate of the Medical School at the University of Zagreb in Croatia, “Dr. C”, as she is known by many patients, was the Chief Resident at the University of Indiana where she completed the residency program in Internal Medicine. She has a broad base of medical experience having been the Medical Officer for the American Embassy in Croatia with patients from 38 different countries as well as an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine at IU where she was responsible for teaching the skills of healing to young doctors and medical students.
Her primary care focus integrates many of the best practices of both traditional and complementary medicine including nutritional counseling, movement analysis, and stress management, in addition to modern laboratory, imaging and diagnostic techniques.
Dr. Cvijanovic performs wellness exams, cancer screening, skin lesion removals, hormone assessments, trigger point injections as well as management of common chronic conditions. Her focus is on preventative care and wellness while enlisting medications, vitamins, supplements and movement recommendations with intention to support patients in living full and healthy lives. She is a physician who listens, observes, pays attention to detail and is fully invested in patients’ health and wellbeing.
An avid reader, Dr. C is quick to incorporate proven techniques both old and new to give patients the most comprehensive care available. When not seeing patients she enjoys parenting an active teenager, long walks with Cosette, a vivacious golden doodle, yoga, dance and visiting family living on several continents.
